The guidance on this website is general. It describes how we approach insulation work and what we look at, and it is written to help you ask better questions. It is not a specification for your building and it is not advice you should act on without someone looking at the property.
Requirements for insulation vary by application, by assembly and by jurisdiction, and they change. Nothing on this site should be treated as a statement of what your local code requires.
Estimates
We do not quote prices on this website, deliberately. The condition of a space affects the job more than its size does, and a figure given before seeing the building would not be reliable. An estimate becomes binding when it is issued in writing as a scope for your specific property, and it is subject to the conditions stated in that document.
No guarantees of outcome
We do not guarantee specific energy savings, utility bill reductions or comfort outcomes, because those depend on the whole building and on how it is used, not only on the insulation. We will tell you honestly what we expect the work to change and what it will not.
